Douglas T. Wagner, D.V.M.Veterinarian
Douglas Wagner, DVM graduated from The Ohio State University in 1984 and his first veterinary position was in a mixed animal practice in Dover, Ohio. Venturing out on his own in 1987, Dr. Wagner opened the Granville Veterinary Clinic and soon earned the trust and respect of the Granville and surrounding areas residents, some of whom have moved out of state and still return for their pets’ annual visits.
Dr. Wagner loves outdoor sports and fly fishing. Faith, family and community is the priority in the Wagner home. He and his wife, Becky, have 3 children; two have graduated from college and their youngest attends college at this time. They love to travel as a family whenever possible. Dr. Wagner and Becky share their home with one “working” dog, Emma, and three very “non-working” dogs, Charlotte, Drover and Katie, all long hair dachshunds frequently seen walking around town with Dr. Wagner and Becky. Topping off the family is the rescued tiger-striped kitty, affectionately called “The Cat” who has yet to discover he is not a dog.
Dr. Wagner is active in the Granville Rotary and the Granville Township Open Space program, and a long-time member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Granville. You will often find Becky next door to the Clinic operating their shared business, The Village Pet Market.
Debra A. Primovic, D.V.M.Veterinarian
Debra Primovic, DVM joined us in 2012 and immediately became a respected veterinarian among our clients. Dr. Primovic is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Nursing and the O.S.U. College of Veterinary Medicine. Following her veterinary medical training, Dr. Primovic practiced in a general small animal practice for three years. Following that experience, she was a staff veterinarian for over a decade at the prestigious Animal Emergency Clinic of St. Louis, Missouri, one of the busiest emergency/critical care practices in the United States.
Dr. Primovic divides her time among veterinary practice, editing and writing pet health articles, and indexing for veterinary publications. She has three cats at home; Sammy, Pepper and Big Chicken.
Nita has been a member of the Granville Veterinary team since 1998. Starting as a receptionist; she climbed the ladder and became the front office manager. She has now been elevated to the current title of business manager. Nita’s main focus is human resource employee benefits and she is the buyer for the practice, keeping the shelves stocked and current on all medications and products on today’s market.
Nita loves reading but her passion is rabbits. She is an American Rabbit Breeders Association judge and travels all over the country judging rabbits. Nita currently has 2 rescue rabbits and 1 show rabbit, a Belgian Hare named King’s Ransom. Along with her Rabbits, she shares her home with 3 cats: Liam, Broadway and Rebel.

Kathleen joined the Village Pet Market team at the start of the Granville Inn’s renovation in August 2014 and the Granville Veterinary Clinic’s management team at the end of October 2014. She is also proud to announce that 2 of her Granville Inn team members have also joined her in the front office at the clinic. Kathleen’s leadership style is thoughtful and genuine and has been successful in helping our teams with a variety of leadership and communication skills. Her areas of focus are guest service, HR recruiting and retention, team training, team member incentives, front office documents, business culture, relational management, marketing, understanding and motivating different personality styles and positive conflict resolution techniques. Training and development of her front office team is her passion and she demonstrates a high level of pride and integrity in her management role. Kathleen and her husband live in Granville and they are blessed with three amazing children and fun loving pugs!

Caleb joined our Front Office Team in 2015 and he is currently our Evening/Weekend Manager and IT Support. He is a dedicated team player who brings energy, ideas and pride to our clinic. Caleb’s hobbies include scuba diving, playing video games and hanging out with family and friends.
MeghanRegistered Veterinary Technician/Tech Supervisor
Meghan started back with us in 2014 after having moved away for two years. Meghan began volunteering at our clinic at age nine. In 2010, after completing her education at The Vet Tech Institute of Bradford, she started working with us as a Registered Technician and is now the Head Technician at our clinic. Along with performing daily technician duties, she assists in surgeries along side Dr. Wagner. When not working, Meghan likes to spend time drawing, working on art projects and spending time with her dog Mac and her cats Moose and Penny.
MattRegistered Veterinary Technician/Tech Supervisor
Matt is a Registered Veterinary Technician graduate of The Bradford Institute and has been with the Granville Veterinary Clinic since October 2015. Born and raised in Newark, Ohio, he graduated Newark Catholic HS class of 2009. Matt’s hobbies include being a guitar player and singer for the local band “A Pirate’s Life”, playing video games and hanging with friends. Matt has a Sheltie named Duke, a black lab named Jack and Tommy, a chinchilla. Matt especially loves exotic pets.
DominiqueRegistered Veterinary Technician
Dominique is a Registered Veterinary Technician that joined us in April of 2018. She graduated from the Bradford Institute in 2013 and became a Registered Technician in August 2013. Dominique has a passion for providing you the most up-to-date information to keep your furry family members happy and healthy. In 2018 she became Fear Free certified and aims to make your vet visit as stress-free as possible for your pet. Dominique shares her home with two dogs and her cat ,Hank the Redbone Coonhound,Leo the shepherd mix and Ilean the three-legged cat. Outside of work Dominique enjoys gardening, playing video games and spending time with family.
CassieVeterinary Assistant/Kennel Supervisor
Cassie joined our veterinary technician team as a Veterinary Assistant in September 2015. She is a graduate of The Vet Tech Institute at Bradford. Cassie has a passion to help every pet in need in any way possible and she doesn’t hesitate to ask our community for help when absolutely needed. She believes in paying it forward. Cassie enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, shooting and playing disc golf with her dogs and boyfriend, Cory. To describe her as dedicated would be an understatement. We are honored to have Cassie on our team!
DanaVeterinary Assistant/Village Pet Market Food Consultant
Dana began as a groomer with us in 2005, but two years later, she trained to become a Veterinary Assistant in order to work more closely with the animals. Dana brings laughter, compassion, positive energy, and pride to our clinic everyday. We are blessed to have her on our team! Dana’s proudest accomplishments are her two beautiful daughters, Jordan and Jessi.
Gretchen has a Psychology degree from Miami University and has spent the last 10 years working at animal shelters and vet hospitals. In her spare time, Gretchen likes to play tennis and mow the lawn. She has a dog and 3 rescue cats at home.
KimOffice Assistant/Guest Service Representative
Kim graduated from Zane State and joined our Front Office Team in December 2014. She takes great pride in team spirit and guest service. Kim is a people person and her passion shows through her volunteer work. We are blessed to have Kim on our team. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her two sons Ryan and Landon. Kim shares her life with her boyfriend Trevin and his daughter Teagan.
SheleGuest Service Representative
Shele has been with us for over 9 years. She provides an excellent guest service experience to our gvc guests with a smile. When not working, she spends her days at home caring for the rescued dogs and cats she has collected throughout the years. Shele also helps her Mom raise and train Quarter Horses and keeps one or two at her house at all times. Shele has two beautiful daughters, Tara & Tisha.
LisaGuest Service Representative
Lisa started her career with us in 1998. She loves greeting our furry patients and getting sloppy kisses before and after their appointments. Lisa has many favorite animal clients, but her heart belongs at home with her 4 cats, a German-Shepherd mix named Bear, and 3 miniature long-haired dachshunds, Beanie, Annie and Izzie. Lisa is the proud Mom of her only son, Tony, who is currently enlisted in the Army.
JanOffice Assistant/Book Keeper
Jan grew up in the Granville area and has been with the clinic since April, 2005. She and her husband have two sons: Isaac, who currently is in grad school in Hawaii, and Christian, who is a chef in Granville. Jan lives on a farm with husband Chuck, son Christian and a menagerie of 3 dogs, a dozen cats and a quarter horse named Velvet. In her spare time, Jan enjoys illustrating, singing, and writing.
Allie joined our kennel team in June 2015, joined our Village Pet Market team in November of 2017, and joined our technician team in 2018 as a vet assistant. She plans to attend the Vet Tech Institute of Bradford so she can do even more as a technician. She loves caring for and getting to know all the animals who come to the clinic. In Allie‘s free time she likes to knit, paint, play video games, and spend time with her three Labradors Katie, Harvey, and Maddie and her two cats, Zelda and Cookie.
