What’s The Risk of Worms in Cats in Licking County in 2019?

Some clients ask why we do routine fecal examinations (commonly referred to as “fecals” so I thought I’d share some numbers from the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPCvet.org).

Roundworms – 1 out of 13cats tested positive for RoundwormsIn Licking County, Ohio from January 1 to September 30, 2019.

Hookworms – 1 out of 151 cats tested positive for hookworms In Licking County, Ohio  from January 1 to September 30, 2019.

Giardia – 1 out of 35 cats tested positive for whipworms In Licking County, Ohio  from January 1 to September 30, 2019.
