Lyme Disease Continues in Granville, so Does Heartworm Prevention

Heartworm Disease is present in Licking County (in fact we diagnosed a dog as positive today). While we actively work to protect our patients from heartworm disease, we are terrified of the amount of Lyme positive dogs we are seeing. 

In fact, we are seeing about 25 times more Lyme disease than heartworm disease.

Both of these diseases can be prevention with good heartworm and tick control medications. We saw ticks on dog and cats all winter last winter and saw a number of dogs test positive this spring that had gone off prevention. PLEASE protect your dog.  Call us if you have any questions – 740-587-1129.
